Beyond the box explains

It might seem like a day doesn’t go by without another batch of news headlines about plastic reduction or sustainable packaging.
Since Sir David Attenborough’s Blue Planet II aired in late 2017, the nation has been more concerned than ever about packaging materials like single-use plastic ending up in our eco systems and damaging the environment.

Up and down the high street, restaurant chains are swapping plastic straws for paper alternatives, while supermarkets are banning plastic bags for online deliveries and Glastonbury Festival recently urged festival-goers to ditch single use plastic.

But even though it might feel like our TV channels, newspapers and social media feeds are constantly awash with the latest updates, it’s not all doom and gloom!

Here at Beyond the Box, we know that not all packaging is created equal. What’s more, all of us have the power to reduce the amount of single-use plastic we use day-to-day – and choose sustainable packaging materials like cardboard whenever we can.

Where does Beyond the Box fit in?

At Beyond the Box, we’re here to cut through the noise and help you get straight to the facts.

We believe cardboard is the UK’s sustainable packaging choice (did you know that cardboard is not just recyclable, but renewable, reusable and biodegradable, too?)

We’re on a mission to get people to embrace cardboard packaging and make the most eco-friendly packaging decisions possible.

There’s lots that all of us can do to get involved and get people talking about the benefits of cardboard packaging – whether we’re and about, shopping online or in our own homes.

So, what are you waiting for? Learn more about Beyond the Box, check out our latest blog posts or get inspired to make a change and prioritise sustainable packaging in your own home and beyond.
